THE PARKS MALL AT ARLINGTON AND DREAMWORKS ANIMATION

INVITE YOU BACK TO THE NORTH POLE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Ultimate Holiday Experience, Adventure to Santa, Begins November 6, Reservations Now Open!

The Parks Mall at Arlington today announced Adventure to Santa – A DreamWorks DreamPlace, is set to return to the mall on Friday, November 6.  Adventure to Santa is a captivating and interactive Santa adventure for the entire family. DreamWorks Animation, the global family entertainment brand known for award-winning storytelling and industry leading innovation, has once again chosen The Parks Mall at Arlington as one of the premier locations around the world during the 2015 holiday season to feature this experience.

Reservations can be made online at www.adventuretosanta.com with the purchase of a photo package or at The Parks Mall at Arlington Guest Service kiosk located on the lower level in Center Court, near Oakley. Adventure to Santa will be open during the mall’s regular hours through Thursday, December 24.

“Last year, families were enamored with the one-of-a-kind experience of Adventure to Santa. The holidays are such a magical time of year, and The Parks Mall at Arlington’s goal is to offer our guests unique experiences and lasting memories,” said Eileen Neighbors, marketing manager for the shopping center. “Returning guests will enjoy new elements of the house this year, and those experiencing Adventure to Santa for the first time will get to see what the buzz is all about.”

Once again, the magical journey of Adventure to Santa starts with Shrek, ends with Santa and features a 2,000-square-foot immersive experience to be enjoyed by family members of all ages. New features this year include two new app games, Sleigh Flight School and Gingy’s Cookie Maker, and three additional exterior skins, the Painted Lady, Candy Cottage and Enchanted Log Cabin. At the top of the hour, the cottage will perform a newly designed light show that cues a different exterior skin for each hour.

“Following a fantastic national launch during the 2014 holiday season, DreamPlace is back to turn the traditional mall holiday visit into something truly special with an immersive, interactive approach that draws on our signature brand of technology, storytelling and of course, humor,” said DreamWorks Animation’s Head of Retail Development Paul Kurzawa. "Shrek and his friends are here to bring the holidays to life with an unparalleled experience which fans will absolutely love.”

On Thursday, November 5, The Parks Mall at Arlington is sharing the Adventure to Santa experience with USO families, hosting a private holiday party for military families of women and men on active duty, in the National Guard or Reserves. Guests will enjoy a pizza dinner, an Adventure to Santa tour, music, activities and holiday crafts. And all families will receive a 5x7” picture with Santa, courtesy of Worldwide Photography. This is the third year The Parks Mall at Arlington has hosted a holiday party for USO military families.

THE RAMZINI’S WILL PERFORM AT THE PARKS MALL AT ARLINGTON AUGUST 20. PHOTO COURTESY THE RAMZINI’S.

All kinds of merrymaking from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including The Ramazini’s clowns at 11:30 a.m.

Summer’s almost over, but The Parks Mall at Arlington says there’s still time for some fun when Kids Kamp hosts an end-of-summer carnival on Thursday, August 20. Like an old-fashioned county fair, the shopping center will be packed with all sorts of silliness. There will be mascots, jugglers tossing and twisting, artists painting faces or making balloon creatures and so much more. There will even be a special performance by the Ramazini’s clowns at 11:30 a.m.

The fun starts at 11 a.m. and the first 150 children to check in on the lower level in Center Court near Guest Services will receive a goodie bag filled with little kid-style surprises, plus coupons and samples from The Parks Mall at Arlington retailers.

At 11:30 a.m., guests will be treated by a special performance by The Ramazini’s, a pair of traveling clowns who performed with Ringling Bros. Circus. The Ramazini’s show will feature a little bit of everything expected from clowns – pantomime, slapstick, contortions, magic, juggling, acrobatics and music, too! There’s no charge to see the performance; it’s all part of the Kids Kamp fun.

Center Court will be brimming with activities and rocking with music. Kids can stop by and have their faces painted. A balloon artist will be giving away colorful balloons that have been twisted into works of art and cute animals. Jugglers will amaze you with their feats of balance, tossing multiple objects with ease. Kids can have their pictures taken with some of their favorite mascots, including Bearemy from Build-A-Bear Workshop, Chick-fil-A Cow and Cookie Man from Great American Cookie.

Along with all the fun in Center Court, retailers throughout The Parks Mall at Arlington will host activity stations where little ones can enjoy more fun with special kid-style games. A special stop will be hosted by Round 1, the fun new entertainment venue at the center. At the Round 1 station, larger-than-usual bowling pins will invite kits to step up to the UFO crane catcher game machine and win prizes.

In addition to the end-of-summer carnival fun, shoppers who spend $100 or more at one or more retailers at The Parks Mall at Arlington between Monday, August 17 and Thursday, August 20 are eligible to receive a $10 Shop Etc gift card, while supplies last. Shoppers must present receipts to the Guest Service desk located on the lower level near Victoria’s Secret and Oakley by 9 p.m. August 20. To qualify, receipts must be dated any days beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, August 17 to Thursday, August 20 at 9 p.m. Bill payments do not apply.

Kids Kamp is presented compliments of The Parks Mall at Arlington. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not needed. Adults must stay with the children during the activities.
