The North Central Texas Council of Governments initiated the DFW High-Speed Transportation Connections Study in spring 2020 to explore creating and then linking to other proposed accelerated-performance passenger systems in the state. Project manager Ian Bryant, AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners), will detail the ongoing study at the June 5 ACC meeting, emphasizing the touted environmental and tourism aspects of high-speed rail, among other benefits.
