North Texas Giving Day will return on September 9-18, 2019 for 10 days of scheduled giving during that time and free public events and service projects. The Main Event will be on Thursday, September 19th from 6AM - Midnight.  Since Communities Foundation of Texas started North Texas Giving Day in 2019, the event has raised $240 million for thousands of nonprofits in the entire 20-county North Texas region. Last year alone, $48 million was raised through more than 157,000 gifts benefiting 2,700 local nonprofits.

North Texas Giving Day is back this year on September 19th and Wildlife On The Move is one of this year’s participating 501(c)(3)nonprofits. Wildlife On The Move is a LIVE Animal Outreach Organization, dedicated to helping people of all ages become more knowledgeable about their natural world. For over 14 years, the folks at Wildlife on the Move have given thousands of programs to over 85,000 people, involving dozens of different animals to schools, daycares, festivals, churches, scout groups, television segments, birthday parties and they are striving to expand their reach to more audiences that are underserved and further broaden their resources to enrich the lives of the animals in their care.

Wildlife On The Move has set their fundraising goal for $5,000 during North Texas Giving Day to help renovate their opossum and tortoise enclosures with new ramps and outside habitat space, as well as distribute the gifted funds to continuing the support and care for over 50 non-releasable animals (discarded or abandoned pets & animal rescues from various City Animal Control Departments) that serve as ambassadors to their wild cousins by promoting conservation, natural history information, and an appreciation for the natural world plus be able to sponsor/underwrite LIVE Animal Presentations for under-served/under-resourced schools, daycares, and low-income groups in order to cover the costs of presenting those type of educational and entertaining programs.

Wildlife On The Move plans to continue their mission of "Bringing Science to Life" through high-quality Animal Care, Husbandry, and Educational Programming and is so grateful to all those that will Get Up, GO WILD, and Give on September 19th to Wildlife On The Move to further support their animals like their resident opossums, Rufus & Rascal and their African spurred tortoise, Hatari.  Use this link to help the cause: https://www.NorthTexasGivingDay.org/wildlife-on-the-move-inc
