Voter Registration Drive At Vista Ridge Mall On August 30 From 1 To 3 p.m.

For the second time this summer, Vista Ridge Mall will host a non-partisan drive to register residents of Denton County who are eligible to vote but not registered. Volunteers will be in Center Court at the shopping center on August 30 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Vista Ridge Mall’s first voter registration drive was held over the Fourth of July weekend and Calvin Dorsey, volunteer deputy voter registrar, said the reaction from shoppers was positive. “People appreciated us being there, offering them the opportunity to have voting questions answered and be able to register during a shopping trip to Vista Ridge Mall,” said Mr. Dorsey. “Several mentioned the convenience and many were unaware that if they had moved from another county that registration was necessary. It was convenient and easy. We appreciate Vista Ridge Mall supporting our registration effort and hope to be able to help more citizens on August 30.”

In addition to registering, residents who have moved recently and/or had name changes are able to update information. As well, individuals can stop by the registration table to request a replacement card.

Vista Ridge Mall features over 130 specialty shops and eateries including Dillard's, JCPenney, Macy's, Sears and Cinemark. The shopping center is conveniently located at I-35E and the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville, Texas. Follow Vista Ridge Mall at www.facebook.com/VistaRidgeMall or on twitter at @vistaridgemall.
