Oakridge’s July 25 ‘Superheroes’ Event Promises Fun for Children, Information for Parents

ARLINGTON, TX --  It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Superman… and more!

The Oakridge School will give children the chance to meet fictional and real-life superheroes, such as police officers, military service people, and others from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, July 25. The event, on the Oakridge campus at 5900 W. Pioneer Parkway in Arlington, is free for the community and current Oakridge families.

In addition to getting up close and personal with superheroes, there will also be fun at the playground, water activities, and vehicles to explore.

“We have such a great time interacting with families and take very seriously our role in the community,” said Community Engagement Coordinator Nadia DiStefano. “Just as we saw with our Touch A Truck event earlier this summer, we expect our Superheroes event to provide wonderment for young children and parental engagement in an outdoor learning environment.”

Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions about the admissions process or Oakridge’s commitment to excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics. The school, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in March, is the only school in the City of Arlington to earn an A+ rating on Niche’s list of the 2019 Best Schools.

Established in 1979, The Oakridge School is a coeducational, college preparatory school for students in preschool through grade 12.
