On Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 from 12 to 6 p.m., The Parks at Arlington welcomes Carter BloodCare to the shopping center and invites everyone to roll up their sleeves and donate blood. Everyone who donates will be eligible to participate in the Backyard Rewards program and receive rewards from the Carter partners. Additionally, each donor will receive a pair of movie tickets, plus a FOX Sports Southwest mini foam finger. Donors will be registered to win tickets to see one of the home teams play.

The Carter registration table will be set up inside The Parks at Arlington on the lower level in the Samsung Galaxy Center court from 12 to 6 p.m. The donor bus will be in the parking lot near SOME STORE [Entrance 5]. Appointments are not necessary, but can be scheduled at 1-800-366 2834 or www.carterbloodcare.org. Individuals with appointments will be given priority. 

Potential blood donors can volunteer beginning at age 16 with a parent’s consent, and 17-year-olds can give independently. All donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good general health and present a photo ID. Donors are encouraged to eat a nutritious meal and drink plenty of water before giving blood. 

The Parks at Arlington has completed a major renovation and remodel, creating a brighter, more welcoming environment with enhanced amenities and aesthetic upgrades. Changes include the addition of stone veneer on interior columns, all new tile flooring, new furnishings and light fixtures, giving the center a modern prairie-style look and feel.
