The afternoon of Saturday, July 20 is all about fun for kids when The Parks at Arlington hosts Saturday in The Parks, an annual event packed with activities and presented in the cool, out-of-the-sun comfort of the shopping center.

From 1 to 4 p.m., there will be games and prizes and crafts for all to enjoy. Plus, The Parks at Arlington presents two live performances that are sure to delight kids of all ages, including:

  • At 2 p.m., Slappy & Monday take the stage and all sorts of silliness is sure to break out with this delightful duo. Monday plays the musical saw and stacks cigar boxes on his nose, while Slappy plays the concertina and gives her pal Monday a hard time.
  • At 3 p.m., an Amazing Bubble Show pops up with some amazing feats of bubble magic. Children and adults alike will be entertained by this fanciful performance, which features bubbles of all sizes and shapes. The audience will be invited up to participate, too.

Along with the fun and games, retailers throughout the shopping center will have special offers so everyone can get a jump on back-to-school shopping. In addition, shoppers who spend $75 or more in purchases at retailers at The Parks at Arlington receive a $10 Shop Etc.™ Mall Gift Card, while supplies last. To receive the card, a shopper must present receipts dated Saturday, July 20 to Guest Services between 1 to 4 p.m. Guest Services is located near The Parks at Arlington mall entrance, between The Cheesecake Factory and Dillard’s.

Saturday in The Parks, held on the lower level in Samsung Galaxy Center Court, is presented compliments of The Parks at Arlington. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not needed. An adult must stay with children during the event.

The Parks at Arlington has completed a major renovation and remodel, creating a brighter, more welcoming environment with enhanced amenities and aesthetic upgrades. Changes include the addition of stone veneer on interior columns, all new tile flooring, new furnishings and light fixtures, giving the center a modern prairie-style look and feel. The Food Court is all new with a redesigned seating area, featuring new furniture and colors. Become a fan of The Parks at Arlington on Facebook.
