The sport of inline speed skating has been around for years. Here at DFW Speed we relied on our sponsors to help our kids/skaters compete at higher levels by giving back to the skaters. For the last two years our teams funds have been depleted. Our two major sponsors were businesses that are closed down they were Bingo Halls and they gave to our team every month from winnings from all the locals that played bingo. This money helped with our yearly budget needs. Our goal is to raise $58,000 that will be used for championship competition to help in expenses such as travel cost in hotel, gas, a set of wheels for skates and registration fees for the Indoor and outdoor National Championship. We are estimating that thirty speed skaters will be competing at Indoor National and fifteen outdoor speed skaters We are estimating that we will have two to four outdoor speed skaters make it to "Worlds Championship Team USA". For each qualifying Team USA member DFW Speed gives $5,500 to help with travel abroad. In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from local businesses and individuals such as yourself.  We are an non-profit amateur sports team.

United States 2014 Team USA Trials and National Outdoor Speed Skating Championship is going on right now in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Centers Velodrome. So far we have three DFW Speed Skaters possibly going to worlds if we can fund them. June 18-27.

By giving to this amateur sport you'll be supporting the DFW SpeedSkating Team and helping us provide assistance to those on our team that have qualified and register to attend the National Championship for Indoor and Outdoor speed skating. Also, for our skaters that have qualify to represent our country as a member of Team USA and compete at Worlds Championship. We ask that you will consider a sponsorship donation of $$ any amount given.  Your donation will be recognized at our event in several ways. As a sponsor, your name will be placed on our website, all materials and banners that publicize the event as well as announced verbally at the event itself.

We also have long term goals in building a Track here in DFW area (we are DFW Speed....lol) Our possible dream is to reach out to our city, our state, and our country and build our first track that is qualified to host world competition here in the U.S.

Just like there are football fields in every city, we should have a track fit for speed skating in every city.

You will see a video of a speed skating competition at a Banked Track in Florida, but this track is not qualified to host worlds Championship competition, you will get an idea of an track that we need.

For now we skate outdoors in Parking Lots and Streets, with proper skating facility our skaters can be better trained and do better at Worlds Championships Competition when representing TeamUSA in speed skating.
