Park Place Motorcars Arlington recently hosted the 2016 Party for a Purpose benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington. More than 370 guests, including dozens of Club kids, attended the 007 Casino Royale-themed event, which featured a cocktail reception across the showrooms and casino games in the air-conditioned service garage.
"We’re always excited about giving back to the community," said Hesham Elgahil, General Manager of Park Place Motorcars Arlington. "Especially when it involves helping the young people who will one day shape our future. The Boys & Girls Clubs does an amazing job in mentoring and challenging these kids.”
Piranha Killer Sushi served six specialty 007-themed cocktails. Guests were treated to sips from TX Whiskey, Cinco Vodka, Seersucker Gin and Legal Draft Beer. Blue Mesa had fresh guacamole stations during the cocktail hour and then served a sumptuous dinner on the enclosed service drive.
“After expenses, we netted more than $120,000, raising $35,000 more than last year!” reported Holly Clinton, Development and Events Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington. “This year’s Party for a Purpose was the second highest PFP ever! Everyone was excited to go to a Bond party at Park Place.”
With four locations in Arlington, the Boys & Girls Clubs strive to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens by incorporating high-yield learning activities, targeted programs and regular attendance.
