It's our First Annual Stampede!  Come out and join in DFW EDS Awareness 5k/1 mile raising awareness for a debilitating genetic connective tissue disorder.  This race was created by Zebras, for Zebras. Click here to learn about our Walk With A Zebra Program. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome patients are called Zebras, so many of us will be wearing zebra stripes.  Join us!

The Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes are a group of connective tissue disorders that can be inherited.  Some usual characteristics are joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, and tissue fragility.  Connective tissue is found almost everywhere in the body, skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, organs, gums, eyes and many more.  EDS most often involve joints and skin, such as joint dislocation and/or sublocations, hyperextensions, joint pain, early onset osteoarthritis, soft velvety skins, easily tearing or bruising skin, severe scarring, chronic musculoskeletal pain, poor muscle tone, mitral valve prolapse and gum disease.

Race distances are 5k and 1 mile. There will be an onsite photographer, bananas provided by office fruit delivery service ORCHARD At The OFFICE, and refreshment provided by sponsors such as Ultima Replenisher and NormaLyte. Registration is just $20 for the 1 Mile and $35 for the $5K. Raceday registration is $30 for the 1 mile and $40 for the 5k. For additional information, you can reach out to our volunteers through our contact page.
