Summer at the Levitt picks up steam with free outdoor concerts featuring a Grammy-nominated blues singer, North Texas-grown alt country and psychedelic Southern rockers

FRIDAY 6/5: Carolyn Wonderland (with Mitchell Ferguson)

Headliner: A “musical force equipped with the soulful vocals of Janis and the guitar-slinging skills of Stevie Ray,” Grammy-nominated Carolyn Wonderland “reaches into the depths of the Texas blues tradition with the wit of a poet.” Carolyn’s songs have been featured on NBC’s “Homicide” and Fox’s “Time of Your Life”; she’s also toured with acts like Buddy Guy and Johnny Winter; sat in with String Cheese Incident, Robert Earl Keen and Los Lobos; and jammed with the likes of Bob Dylan, Eddy Shaver, and Ray Benson.

Opening Act: Rock-and-soul artist Mitchell Ferguson is a young Dallas singer-songwriter who has appeared in live shows across the country, often sharing a stage with notable artists like Flatland Cavalry, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Margo Price, and David Ramirez. His latest EP, “Making Sound,” was released in 2019.

Lawn chairs encouraged, coolers welcome (but leave the glass at home), paid concessions available. (Pro Tip—
Try the J. Gilligan’s world famous Irish Nachos!) For weather updates and other Levitt news, follow the Levitt on social media, call 817.543.4301 or visit the Levitt website.
