North Texas Giving Day is back this year on September 22nd and we are spotlighting one of the more than 3,500 nonprofits participating this year. Wildlife On The Move is a local DFW Area 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is participating in its 6th Year of North Texas Giving Day. Wildlife On The Move is a LIVE and VIRTUAL Animal Outreach Organization, dedicated to helping people of all ages become more knowledgeable about their natural world. For over 17 years, the folks at Wildlife on the Move have given thousands of programs to over 475,000 people, involving dozens of different animals and traversed over 200,000 Miles to "Bring Science to Life" for schools, daycares, festivals, churches, scout groups, television segments, birthday parties, as well as providing high quality care and husbandry to 50 Animal Ambassadors that were previously abandoned, discarded, abused, and rescued. Wildlife On The Move is an organization that is passionate and honored to help people of all ages connect with nature, overcome their fears and misconceptions, and learn facts about animals from all over the world in an entertaining and educational experience, however that was completely changed and forever impacted back in 2020-2021. To be candid, they are continuing to climb, crawl, and slither their way back to financial stability following the set-backs and negative effects of the C-19 Pandemic, therefore, this amazing organization that helps "Bring Science to Life" for so many people of all ages and "Cares for Critters" that are deeply misunderstood, desperately needs your monetary gifts and support now more than ever to retain a firm financial footing for the remainder of the year and into the next.

The Wildlife On The Move Animal Care Fund and Educational Program has continued on a determined road to recovery after massive show cancellations and lost revenue that impacted them in March 2020 and additionally through December of 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic plus the devastating Severe Ice Storm/Freeze/Electrical Shutdown in the Winter of 2021, but with your help, generosity and gifts they will be able to venture on and rise above those difficult set-backs to keep their Animal Ambassadors well fed and cared for to their high standards and sustain the STEAM Based Educational Programming into the future. This North Texas Giving Day, they are hoping to raise at least $10,000 to help their Animal Ambassadors and Educational Programming on the road to recovery, plus your kind and generous donations will allow the purchase of a State of the Art Honda Generator, a Specially Designed Exercise Wheel and Lumber/Materials/Supplies for a NEW Outdoor Enclosure/Ramp for the resident opossums/tortoise, and a NEW AC & Heater Units for the Critter Compound. The GREAT NEWS is that a very generous corporate partner has committed to provide $10,000 as a Matching Donor/Sponsor to help sustain the Animal Ambassador's Care and Feeding, plus continue the high quality Educational Programming for thousands of children and adults into the future!
