“I am tremendously excited to join Texas Health Physicians Group, which serves as a critical link in the continuum of care and advances Texas Health Resources from a hospital-centric organization to a patient-centered, fully integrated health system,” Parobek said. “Along with Drs. Parsley and Myers, I look forward to helping further the Texas Health mission of improving health in North Texas through business development and innovation.”

Parobek is tasked with expanding Texas Health Physicians Group’s referral networks, engaging physicians and developing a comprehensive, geographically dispersed, integrated physician network. He will oversee the group’s strategic planning, operations and business development, among other responsibilities. Additionally, he will serve as a board member and senior vice president of operations for Texas Health Organization for Physicians.

Parobek has worked with Texas Health Physicians Group’s leadership and physicians in a consulting capacity since July. He joins Texas Health from Kentucky, where he led three of the largest multi-specialty employed physician groups and worked in two systems that grew significantly through a merger and acquisition of competitive hospitals. He’s also held the roles of president and CEO of Saints Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, as well as Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital, in Louisville, Ky.

After beginning his career as a licensed physical therapist, Parobek earned an MBA from Webster University and bachelor’s degrees in physical therapy and chemistry from Ohio University and Miami University of Ohio, respectively. His many professional accomplishments include the distinction of being named one of the “Partners in Healthcare: People to Watch in 2012.”
